Welcome to Spring
A bustling urban environment overflowing with a rich history
Spring, Texas, has a fascinating history. It was founded in 1837 and is one of the oldest towns in Texas. In 1840, Spring had just 153 residents and was one square kilometer in size. The town proliferated thanks to its proximity to Houston and establishment as an essential stop on the railroad system. Old Town Spring, as it was known to early settlers, still stands today and is memorialized by the Spring Historical Museum.
Locals enjoy Spring’s picturesque small-town streets and easy access to the big city. There’s always lots to do in Spring, from outdoor fishing and recreation at Pundt Park to small business shopping and unique dining options at the bustling town center.
